Consider spec'ing a sidecut for the turn radius you really enjoy.  Drop a little tip rocker, give the ski moderate camber, and shake it up with the right flex pattern.  The various aspects that go into designing a tailored, high performance ski are fairly simple- core profile, sidecut, underfoot width.  It's how the 14 different aspects, including those just mentioned, are combined.
