The Ski Smith

We started developing the profession of ski smith in 2010. In order for the profession to take root, we simultaneously developed a six week apprenticeship program and an affordable manufacturing platform that would enable the smith to compete in world markets.
A smith is capable of fabricating each piece of proprietary tooling that is in his or her shop. Incorporating best practices in manufacturing, ski design, client relations, web design, the smith is able to deliver quality for the working person wage.
Each smith needs to offer an Apprenticeship which insures we "feed the seed" and keep alive the structure that binds the movement, Open Source Manufacturing.
